Vibrational Sound Therapy · Before Your Session

You do not have to do anything on the table.
Here is what to do before you get on it.

Four bowl stations, 60 minutes, one nervous-system arc. This page walks the whole thing, start to finish, so nothing about your first session is a surprise.

Before you come

Five things, none of them hard.

Wear soft, loose layers

The bowl sits directly on your body, so anything with a zipper, buckle, or thick seam down the spine will get in the way. Leggings and a soft tee are ideal. You stay fully clothed the whole session.

Eat something small, an hour ahead

Not a full meal, not an empty stomach. A heavy stomach makes lying face-down uncomfortable, and an empty one makes the drop into rest feel shaky.

Skip caffeine that day if you can

Caffeine keeps the system braced against the exact settling the session is trying to produce. If skipping it is not realistic, keep it to the morning.

Leave the afternoon soft

Most people feel slow and quiet for a couple of hours after. Booking something demanding right after the session works against the arc.

Come with one sentence

Not a diagnosis or a story. One sentence about what your body has been running lately. That single sentence changes where the bowls go.

On the table

The 60 minutes, minute by minute.

You stay clothed. You can ask for a bowl to be lifted or moved at any point, and nothing has to be explained. The word is simply: pause.

Intake

5 min

Seated, short, spoken. What the week has been. Where the tension lives. A 1 to 10 read on your nervous system, said out loud so we can compare it at the end.

Settle

8 to 10 min

First bowl at the sacrum or low belly. Slow, spaced strikes. Nothing is asked of you here except to let the tone arrive.

Deepen

18 to 22 min

Bowls move to the lower ribs, then the sternum. Strikes get slower and quieter. This is where the exhale usually gets longer on its own.

Encode

8 to 10 min

Final bowl between the shoulder blades. Long silence between tones. The body is consolidating, not working.

Integrate

8 min

Five minutes of full silence under a blanket, then a slow return. Water, a second 1 to 10 read, and no rushing out the door.

The 48 hours after

  • ·Thirst. Drink more water than feels necessary for the rest of the day.
  • ·Deeper sleep that night, and often vivid dreams.
  • ·Tender emotions for 24 to 48 hours. This is the system finishing what the session started, not a setback.
  • ·Occasional next-day soreness where a bowl sat, similar to the day after bodywork.
  • ·A quieter internal volume that holds for a few days after a single session, and longer once you are into a package arc.

Tell us before you book

None of these automatically rule out a session. They change where the bowls go, or move the work off the body entirely.

  • ·A pacemaker, defibrillator, or any implanted electronic device
  • ·Metal hardware, plates, pins, or a joint replacement
  • ·Pregnancy, at any stage
  • ·Surgery in the last 12 weeks, a fracture, or an open wound
  • ·A seizure or epilepsy history
  • ·Severe osteoporosis, active cancer treatment, or a cardiac condition
Still wondering

Questions people ask on the way in

Do I undress?
No. You stay fully clothed for the entire session. Soft layers with no hardware down the spine are all that is needed.
How heavy is the bowl?
Lighter than people expect, and the lightest bowl in the set is always the one used on the chest. If the weight is uncomfortable anywhere, say so and it moves.
What if I fall asleep?
Common, and fine. The vibration still travels through tissue. Most people drift between sleep and waking, which is where the arc does its best work.
What if I cry?
Also common, especially at the sternum. Nothing is asked of you and nothing gets narrated in the moment. The room simply stays quiet with you.
Can I drive after?
Yes, after about 10 minutes upright with water. Give yourself that buffer rather than walking straight to the car.
Is this a substitute for medical care?
No. Vibrational Sound Therapy is a somatic support practice, not medical or psychological treatment. Keep your care team and your prescriptions exactly as they are.
